PNG to JPG Converter
Change PNG images to JPG in seconds to shrink file size, meet upload requirements or share photos that were saved in the wrong format. Pick a quality level, set the background colour that should replace transparency, and convert as many files as you like.
The conversion runs entirely in your browser. A typical 5 MB PNG photo becomes a 500 KB JPG that looks the same on screen – ideal for email attachments, product listings, CVs and application forms.

PNG vs JPG: what actually changes
PNG is lossless and supports transparency, which makes it perfect for logos, screenshots and graphics but wasteful for photographs. JPG uses lossy compression tuned to how human eyes perceive photos, producing files 5–10× smaller with no visible difference at sensible quality settings. JPG has no transparency, so any see-through areas in your PNG need a background colour – white by default, or any colour you pick.
Choosing the quality setting
Quality 90 (the default) is virtually indistinguishable from the original and is what most photo sites use. Quality 80 halves the file again with only minor softening in fine textures. Below 60 you will start to see blockiness around sharp edges and text, so keep screenshots at 85 or higher – or better, leave screenshots as PNG and convert only photographs.

Frequently asked questions
Will converting PNG to JPG lose quality?
JPG is lossy, so technically yes, but at quality 85–95 the difference is invisible for photos. Text-heavy images look best at 90 or above.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with the background colour you choose in the options (white by default).
How much smaller will the file be?
Photographic PNGs usually shrink by 80–90%. Flat graphics with few colours may not shrink as much, since PNG already compresses those well.
Can I convert PNG to JPG in bulk?
Yes, up to 100 files at a time with a single ZIP download.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion is performed by your browser; the file never leaves your device.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Open the page in your mobile browser, pick images from your gallery and save the JPGs back.
