HEIC to JPG Converter
Turn iPhone and iPad photos into JPG files that open everywhere – on Windows, older Android phones, web forms, print shops and email. Drop in a single HEIC or a whole camera roll; each file is converted on your device in a fraction of a second.
Nothing is uploaded. The converter decodes HEIC (HEIF) images directly in your browser and saves them as standard JPEG at the quality you choose, so you keep full resolution and your photos stay private.
How to convert HEIC to JPG
Click the upload box or drag your HEIC files in – up to 100 at once.
Adjust the quality slider if you want, then press Convert to JPG.
Download each JPG file, or grab them all in one ZIP.

Why iPhone photos are HEIC – and why JPG is still needed
Since iOS 11, iPhones capture photos in HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container), a format built on HEVC video compression that stores the same picture in about half the space of a JPG. It also carries Live Photos, depth maps and 10-bit colour. The trade-off is compatibility: Windows needs a paid extension to open HEIC natively, many websites reject it in upload forms, and most printing services, CMSs and older software simply do not recognise the file. Converting to JPG fixes all of that without any visible loss of quality.
What happens to quality, size and metadata
HEIC to JPG is a lossy-to-lossy conversion, so we default to quality 90, which preserves detail well beyond what a screen or print can show. Expect the JPG to be roughly 1.5–2× the size of the HEIC – that is normal, JPG is simply a less efficient format. Orientation is respected, so portrait shots stay upright. Camera EXIF data (including GPS location) is not carried over, which is usually the safer outcome when sharing photos publicly.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert HEIC to JPG on Windows?
Open this page in any browser on Windows 10 or 11, drop in your HEIC files and click Convert. You do not need the Microsoft HEIF extension or any software – the conversion runs in the browser.
Can I convert HEIC to JPG on my iPhone?
Yes. Open the page in Safari, tap the upload box, choose photos from your library and download the JPGs to Files or Photos. To stop your iPhone shooting HEIC altogether, go to Settings › Camera › Formats and choose Most Compatible.
Does the conversion reduce image quality?
Not noticeably. At the default quality of 90 the JPG is visually identical to the original. Move the slider to 100 for maximum fidelity or lower it to shrink the file.
Can I batch convert HEIC to JPG?
Yes. Select up to 100 files at once. When they finish, click Download all to get a single ZIP containing every JPG.
Is HEIC to JPG conversion free and private?
Completely. There is no account, no limit and no watermark, and because files never leave your device there is nothing for us to store or see.
Why does my HEIC file fail to convert?
A few HEIC files use unusual encodings (for example burst or HDR gain-map files) that the browser decoder cannot read yet. Try exporting the photo from the Photos app first, or use the HEIC to PNG tool.
