Why generating locally matters
A password generated on somebody else's server is a password somebody else has seen. Ours are produced with your browser's own cryptographic random number generator (the same one that secures HTTPS connections) and never leave your device. The same is true of QR codes: your Wi-Fi password or contact details are encoded on your machine, not uploaded to be rendered.
Output you can actually use
QR codes download as PNG for print or SVG for infinite scaling, with adjustable error correction so they still scan when a logo covers part of them. Passwords, UUIDs and random numbers can be generated in bulk and copied or downloaded as a text file.
Frequently asked questions
Are the QR codes free for commercial use?
Yes. QR code is an open standard and the codes you generate here are yours – use them on packaging, menus, posters or products with no licence fee and no expiry.
Do the QR codes ever stop working?
No. These are static QR codes: the data is encoded directly in the pattern, so there is no tracking link to expire and no account that can be closed.
Are the generated passwords safe?
Yes. They use crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographically secure random source, and are never transmitted or stored. We also show the entropy in bits so you can judge the strength yourself.
Can I generate many at once?
Yes – up to 50 passwords, 500 UUIDs or 1,000 random numbers per batch, with copy and download buttons.
Is any of this sent to your server?
No. Everything is generated on your device.
