Random Number Generator
Generate random numbers within any range you choose. Pick one number or hundreds, and switch on unique-only mode for raffles, draws, team picking and lottery-style selections where no number may repeat.
Numbers come from your browser's cryptographic random source rather than a simple pseudo-random function.
How to use the random number generator
Set the minimum and maximum of your range.
Choose how many numbers you need and whether duplicates are allowed.

Why use the Convert Now random number generator
Cryptographically secure
Not the predictable Math.random.
Unique mode
Draw without replacement for raffles and draws.
Bulk
Up to 1,000 numbers at once.
Any range
Including negative numbers.
Random enough to be fair
Most code uses Math.random, which is fast but predictable in principle and not designed for anything where fairness matters. This generator uses crypto.getRandomValues, the same source browsers use for security-critical work. For a giveaway, a classroom draw or picking who goes first, that removes any question about whether the sequence could be anticipated.
Unique versus repeatable
With duplicates allowed, each number is drawn independently – so in a range of 1 to 10, drawing ten numbers will usually repeat some and miss others. That is genuinely random and is what you want for dice rolls or simulations. Unique-only mode draws without replacement, like pulling names from a hat, which is what you want for prize draws and seating orders.
Running a draw people trust
If the result matters to other people, do it visibly: state the range and the number of winners in advance, record the screen while you generate, and publish the full list of drawn numbers rather than just the winners. Transparency about the method matters more than the algorithm itself in convincing an audience the draw was fair.

Frequently asked questions
How does the random number generator work?
It uses crypto.getRandomValues, your browser's cryptographically secure random source, then maps the values into the range you set.
Can I generate numbers without duplicates?
Yes. Set "Allow duplicates" to no and each number will appear at most once.
Is it suitable for a giveaway or raffle?
Yes. It is cryptographically random and no result is stored or transmitted. Record your screen if you need to show entrants the draw was fair.
How many numbers can I generate at once?
Up to 1,000 per batch.
Can I generate negative numbers?
Yes, enter a negative minimum.
Is this truly random?
It is cryptographically secure pseudo-randomness seeded by the operating system's entropy pool – indistinguishable from true randomness for any practical purpose.
