Built for people who write to a limit
Almost every piece of writing has a constraint: a 2,500-word essay, a 155-character meta description, a 280-character post, a 60-character page title. Our text tools give you live counts as you type – words, characters with and without spaces, sentences, paragraphs and estimated reading time – so you can shape the text to the limit instead of pasting it into a checker afterwards.
Nothing you paste is uploaded
Unpublished articles, client copy, confidential drafts and student assignments all pass through text tools. Because ours run entirely in your browser, none of that content is transmitted, logged or stored. Close the tab and it is gone.
Frequently asked questions
Is the word counter accurate for essays?
Yes. It counts any run of non-space characters as a word, which is the same method Microsoft Word and Google Docs use, so the numbers match what your teacher or editor will see.
How is reading time calculated?
At 225 words per minute for silent reading and 130 words per minute for speaking aloud, which are the widely used averages for adult readers.
Is my text saved or sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser and nothing is transmitted.
Is there a character limit?
No practical limit. Very large documents (hundreds of thousands of words) may slow down on older phones.
Can I use these tools offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded.
